Note to My Readers
Dear TIOGR Readers,
First of all, I want to thank everyone who is reading this. If you're reading this, that means you either saw the message in my profile on Authonomy, sent me an email, and then added this account as a friend, OR you found the link on the profile of my Fiction Press account - and for all of that I thank you!
Second of all, I would like to apologize. I know I've kinda yanked most of you around the last few months. First, I had the entire story up on FictionPress, then took all but the first chapter down. Then, I started posting the chapters on Authonomy, but after the twenty-fourth chapter, I removed nine of the chapters after deciding to only upload a smaller part of the story there. Now, I've directed you all over here. I know some of you (maybe even a lot of you) signed up with Authonomy and LiveJournal just to read/support this story, and I can't tell you how much that means to me! But I think it has finally found its home here, and here it will stay until I decide to try getting it published.
Third of all, I especially want to thank all of you who have supported the story over at Authonomy. The book is around 175 in the ranks, which means that in a couple of years, it might make it to the Top 5 on the Editor's Desk! ;P And I couldn't help but notice recently (like last weekend, to be exact), that a huge number of people (mostly people who were new to the site) were placing it on their book shelves, which certainly helped the book's rank go up. Either way, if you do a search on Authonomy under the “Most Shelved” criteria now, my book is #1, with being on over 260 bookshelves! I have all of you to thank for that!
The reason I took down a lot of the chapters (and will likely be taking down more) on Authonomy is that I noticed over there that “less is more”. Since most people who upload books to that site are serious about getting discovered and getting published, there is a mindset of, “Well, if you upload the entire book, no publisher is going to want to publish it. You have to leave them wanting more”...or something along those lines. Which, actually, I agree with. Now don't get me wrong, I don't honestly think that this story has a snowball's chance in hell at getting discovered and published there or...well, anywhere for that matter...but I guess it gives me just the slightest bit of hope anyway.
I recently read a guestbook signature from somebody on my website over at webs.com who decided to lay into me and tell me not to let my “ego” prevent me from posting my writing on the Internet. I couldn't help but feel that was a bit unfair. My ego has had nothing to do with any decision I have made with TIOGR. And I understand that by removing the story I was punishing all of my loyal readers who would never dream of plagiarizing, and for that I apologize. I do not just write for myself – I write for you guys, of course – but I just hope that everyone can respect my decisions regarding my own writing, even if it's a decision you don't like.
Either way, the entire story is up now. I hope you all enjoy. Feel free to leave feedback, good or bad. I will respond to every comment and/or message anyone sends me.
And I can't say this enough: I love and adore you all. I may never become an official published author, but with devoted cyber readers like you, who needs to be?
XoXoXo
Amanda

Can I just say that this was such a great story!! and I'm soo glad you decided to post it on here. Seriously, if Twilight can be published, I most certainly think that this story can be toooo! lol
I absolutely loved the whole plot line and the characters lol Eric and Trish will be an interesting couple :P but a cute one lol
You had me hooked on this story ever since the first chapter from FP :P
Love it. lol
(No offense to Twilight fans intended - I myself had read the first 2 books, but then got bored of it.)
Thank you for reading - I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D
I think you most definitely have what it takes to be published. In fact, I so desperately hope you do get published. (Reading online feels like a lie to me. Having a book in my hands to hold makes me feel so much at home, which is why I want you to get published!)
And, yah! I definitely agree. Twilight was a boring read. Bella was so into Edward it was bordering obsession. And Edward... Pedo, anyone?
And, I agree with the less is more! Congratulations on getting 'Most Shelved'. That's amazing!
TIOGR hit me on an emotional note. I fell in love with Lex and Trish was so funny.
I know I probably make no sense. I'm uber glad you're up and ready to get published! I wish you luck on your journey! (Look at me, getting all corny.)
I hope you don't mind, I added you as a friend. At least, I think that's what you call it on this site. O.o
I know exactly what you mean about reading online. I just find it to be uncomfortable. The screen is too harsh and my computer chair isn't the most comfy piece of furniture in the world. There really is nothing like curling up on a couch, a bed, or any other cushiony spot with a physical copy of a good old fashioned book (I don't know if you can tell, but I'm a bit of a book geek :P).
I think as I write my stories, I ask myself, "How would Stephanie Meyer write this?" and then I do the exact opposite, lol. Bella is pretty much the definition of a Mary-Sue. I hate Mary-Sue characters and I tried really hard not to make Lexi into one. I'm not sure if I fully succeeded or not. And I agree with the pedo comment. "To Catch a Predator" should totally devote an entire episode to Edward!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the story! It would be awesomely amazing to get published. However, all that would do is give me money (which I am already making at my real job). I really already have the best part about being a published writer without actually being published - and that is just having people read my stories. So thank you for that!
And I don't mind at all that you added me as a friend. In fact, I really appreciate it!
And I admit, I'm a complete chick lit addict (my friends tease me about it...pfft. Those hypocrites.) yet I always feel like at the end of every other book, I've read the exact story before. It's the outcome of too much cliches and fluff consumed by my mind.
However, I reread all 24 chapters from authonomy and so on, until I swear I had to coo over it for hours just knowing that this story had the most perfect combination. Everything was plausible, and it just worked and blended so well into a whole story it amazes me why you haven't been published yet.
Congrats on the popularity of the story, you truly deserve it :)
Simply remarkable.
Thank you so much for reading and commenting. I'm so happy you enjoyed it!
Hello
I was nagging to my partner that I couldn't read it all and then when you posted it on here I was very happy haha
I'm a Twilight fan but the To Catch A Predaor comment made me laugh!
My favourite character was Jase, I thought he was adorable, I couldn't wait to get to the happy ending
Gem xxx
Haha, you know what's funny? A few hours after making that To Catch a Predator comment, I was on YouTube and happened to stumble upon a parody video some guys had made entitled "Twilight: New Moon Deleted Scenes", and one of them involved Edward on an episode of To Catch a Predator! I LOL'd pretty hard at the coincidence of it all.
But in my opinion, I think that your story should be turned into a TV series. It would be interesting to see it played out that way.
Thank you. : )
And I hope that you don't mind me adding you as a friend. *fingers crossed*
Oooh, a TV series? That would be fun to see! Although, people have made the "this should be a movie" comment as well, and honestly I can't see it as either one, only because I don't think it has enough of a plot. But I guess they could create more a plot for it if that was the case. Either way, that would be super cool. I can dream, right?
Thanks for reading! :D
I kept checking your FP profile and your website for any authors notes you left but figured you were propbably just busy with work and life, which is definaltey fine.
I'm really happy though that you decided to post it here in LJ as well! I loved it when I read it in FP, loved it even more the second time around when I read the chapters that were posted on authonomy. I'm planning to read it again on here as well as any other stories you post. ^_^
I have another question as well. Since FP is definaltey out of the question, are you going to be posting all your other works you write in here as well?
You really are a very talented writer and I really truly believe you have a chance at getting published. ^_^
-Liz :D
I'm happy to have finally posted the story here as well. I actually like this better than both FP and Authonomy. It makes it easier to communicate with my readers and makes it all a bit more personal. So I'm glad you and others were kind enough to follow the story over here! I'm not sure if I will be posting other stories as well. So far, I don't really have any others to post. But there is a really good chance that if I do start writing again, this will be the place I'll put it up. I still don't feel like I trust FP anymore...
Thanks for your support!
best of luck to it getting published, AND SOON! i would absolutely love to physically own a copy.
I really love your story. Its funny and sweet.
Good Luck on getting your amazing works published!
other than that, I really hope you do get published someday. I know I'd buy the book and make all my friends read it :)
I really do have a heart, but sometimes it's three sizes too small. :/
Thanks :D
I was really getting into the story when i saw most of the chapters were taken off of Authonomy and frank - I was devastated.I had no clue what was wrong and I didn't want to see another good author disappear because of plagiarizers or other incidents.
Anyway, thank you once again for JUST moving the story so I can continue to have a bit of fun in my internet experience.
Re: Thanks :D
Read this story on FP was a big fan(never reviewed there sorry). I was really sad that you removed your story from that site but i guess you had to do what you felt like doing. It's a really great story, i loved it. One of the best and favorite stories i read on FP.
I followed it over at Authonomy, I did comment there (same username), don't know if you saw that.
Anyway I'm really glad you feel like posting you story again for us to read.
Good luck to you in getting your work published, may your dreams come true.
The early chapters were very good, and that's coming from someone with very high standards for FP stuff. I am curious to see where it goes. :)
Thank you so much for reading!
hey
the last mail i sent i ended it " an avid fan and reader". So I can't wait to read!! Good luck with getting published, I hope they realise the genius of the story!!
Re: hey
Sooo...
Oh, and I will definitely buy your book when you get it published. Not to make up for my stalking you, but for my own personal pleasure since I really love this story.
confused
Re: confused
I'm happy you're back and that you've (almost) sorted out everything! Haha, I'm horrible with computer stuff, so I don't know what to do about page numbers, sorry =P Wow, moving is so exciting!! And hectic, haha. I hope everything goes smoothly for you <3
I friended you =D I can't wait to reread your story!
- Jamie
Thank you!
Now I can finally read the rest of TIOGR! I felt sad when you decided to delete the other chapters in Authonomy but then I saw your profile in fictionpress and I felt so happy when you decided to post the rest of it here. :)
Kudos for an awesome story! :D
I loved your story and was wondering if you're going to continue writing the other one you have on the fictionpress site.
So thank you for that!
I just wanted to drop by and say that this story had me hooked ever since the first chapter (:
I've wanted to write a story for some time too (and I have a great idea), but I'm afraid of it getting plagiarized.
Anyways, I hope you write a sequel! (Even though sequels usually aren't as good as the original.) And isn't my username awesome? :D
I found out about your story in fictionpress first and then, Bam, it was gone. But I'm so glad you posted it on livejournal.
You story remind me of most of the girls in my year, they are Amber Lynn Rose's. We get along in class but outside, we would just wave and say hi and go on life.
